”I am a first time mom and struggled with a lot of anxiety throughout my pregnancy. I had the pleasure of working with Erin as my Doula. From the first session forward, her calming presence and delivery of information immediately supported all of my needs and I was able to begin enjoying some moments in my pregnancy. I felt cared for on a wholesome level that I didn't find in any clinical setting. She involved my partner in our sessions to practice exercises to support a healthy labour and also to work together as a team to have a plan in place for a beautiful birth experience. Erin worked extremely well with the healthcare team at the hospital to ensure everything flowed as smoothly as I hoped. She was a fantastic support through my pregnancy, labour/delivery and postpartum. If I have any more children I will definitely be asking Erin to be my Doula again.
10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Having Erin as my doula was the best decision I made for my birth. She enabled me to complete my birth plan and have a natural vaginal birth without any medical intervention or pain medication. This was no easy task as it was discovered when I was pushing that the baby was breach. I’m amazed at her strength both mentally and physically (she preformed double hip squeezes in a squat position on and off for eight hours). Her calming voice and demeanor put me at ease and helped me get through each stage of labor. The advice she gave me throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum was amazing and much needed. Things could have gone very differently if I hadn’t had her support and advice throughout this journey.”

“Erin was my doula and was a great support to my partner and I. She provided education and support prenatally, during the birth, as well as postnatal support. Erin helped teach my partner hands-on pain relief strategies to use during the birth, helped me fine tune my birth plan, and was a great genuine compassionate soul who genuinely wanted to support me in having a positive birth experience, and was willing to support us even during trying times of COVID 19. When I finally got admitted to the case room after 5 long days of on and off labour, Erin literally arrived in minutes after receiving my text that the show was about to start. That was probably because she had responded to my million texts already that day. Erin was so supportive when things during my labour were not going quite as planned, and I had to switch things up and agree to some interventions she knew I really wanted to avoid. Erin didn’t allow me to give up easily and helped me weigh the pros and cons, but most importantly I never felt any judgment from her, only support and genuine compassion... Erin continues to provide postnatal support and allowed me to debrief my experience, and shared in some of Keith’s first adventures. If you're considering getting a Doula I would 100% recommend Erin... she is a true gem and a wealth of knowledge.”

“Erin was truly amazing throughout my whole experience. She has a warmth about her that automatically relaxes you and makes you feel comfortable. She was so attentive throughout my labour and delivery to both myself and my husband. She was hands on and always made me feel calm. The labour had some intense situations with the baby's heart rate and she was my rock through it, always in my ear helping me to breathe and remain calm. The preparation that I received for labour and delivery was also instrumental to how smooth everything went and my ability to get through the 23 hours with a smile for most of it. Before meeting with Erin having a baby was one of the scariest thoughts to cross my mind, I thought it would be the scariest experience of my life and the most painful. But looking back I enjoyed every second. I have already recommended Erin to all of my friends who will be having babies soon! She was absolutely amazing and is still always available for my questions! I cannot thank her enough!”

“Erin is amazing! To quote our Doctor from the Family Medical Group, "No one ever regrets getting a Doula, but plenty of people regret not getting one". We met Erin a few times throughout my fiancé's pregnancy and she was a great resource. She also attended the entire labour process, which was over 10 hours, lasting overnight from 11pm through the morning. Along with emotional support, she spent over 5 hours pushing her pelvis to help relieve pressure. A post partum visit was included and she also provides other services. I don't know what we would have done without her. As a registered Naturopath, she was covered under our insurance (Manulife), so the out of pocket cost was negligible. But whether you have insurance or not, this is a no brainer. Hire this lady! Thanks again Erin!”

“Thanks in large part to Erin, I had an absolutely incredible pregnancy and birth experience. Erin was knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. As a naturopath and yoga instructor, as well as a trained doula, she was able to provide information and practical tips from a number of different perspectives. She provided everything from help with our birth plan, to links to journal articles supporting evidence-based birth practices, to yoga poses to relieve discomfort. Most importantly she provided emotional support to both my partner and I that gave us the confidence to labour safely at home, and have a natural, unmedicated birth. I cannot recommend this company highly enough!”

“The most important thing to know about Erin isn’t something I can tell you — it’s what my very anxious cat, Ellie, would tell you (if she could speak). Ellie hates visitors. Her usual reaction when someone enters our home is to run and dive under our bedcovers and stay there until they leave. But something strange happened when Erin paid her first prenatal visit to our home. Not only did Ellie not hide — she stayed in the living room where we had gathered. And not only did she stay in the living room — she curled up on the couch, nuzzled in next to Erin. Now I know you probably think I’m a crazy cat person (you wouldn’t be wrong), but I tell you this because, to me, it’s the perfect example of Erin’s calming presence — the kind of presence you need when you’re in the throes of labour. Having her with me and my husband at the hospital made me feel at ease. She had reviewed with us a range of pain relief measures during her prenatal visits, and had discussed the various things we might expect when we go to the hospital. She also helped me write a birth plan. But her real value as a doula was when I was pushing for two hours and not once felt like I couldn’t do it — her encouragement (and constant supply of cold facecloths for my sweaty face and sips of water for my parched throat) was what got me through. Erin was just as excited to meet our baby as we were, and she captured those first special memories on camera so we could just enjoy the moment. She even dropped off a sitz bath gift when I was dealing with some postpartum pain at home. Erin went above and beyond as our doula, and we will recommend her to everyone we know!”

“I am so grateful for your prenatal yoga classes and the lessons I learned. At my 35 week OB appointment my baby was transverse and my doctor said if he was still transverse at 36 weeks then we would need to discuss my options. Every day leading up to my next appointment I focused on practicing the baby positioning poses that you taught us. I had an ultrasound done at 36 weeks and baby boy was head down.
Two weeks later I went into labour and had the most amazing natural, unmedicated birthing experience. My water broke around 11:30pm and my contractions started shortly after. I am a first time mom so I called the case room and they recommended I come in right away. Shortly after I got to the case room I was told my baby was in the prefect position and I was 1cm dilated. We returned home where I spent the next 1-2 hours in the tub, on the birth ball or in child’s pose. Around 4am my contractions were now averaging 3 minutes apart and lasting for at least 60 seconds. Focusing on my breath made the contractions easier. We returned to the hospital and got settled into the birthing room. I listened to my body as I was taught to do so in class. I laboured in various positions spending my time in whatever position felt right for my body. As my contractions became more intense moaning during my exhales felt amazing. Around 6:15am I felt the need to push. The nurse checked me and I was fully dilated. The nurse told me that if I felt the need to push during my next contraction to start pushing. At 6:22am we welcomed our baby boy into the world.
There are 2 other very important takeaways that helped me during my pregnancy and labour. I refused to listen to any negative labour and birth stories and most importantly I believed that my body was built to give birth. I used the affirmations daily and when I went into labour I repeated to myself during every contraction that I can do this. And just like you taught us during the lesson on mindset, with every contraction I proved to myself that I could do it. Thank you so much!”

“Erin was our doula support for the birth of our little guy. I can't say enough good things about her work with us. She was very informative, caring, and a great help in the delivery room. She brings a great energy to the birthing process and is very hands on with her clients. I would definitely recommend her service to anyone looking for a doula.”

“Erin Law was our postpartum doula. She is simply AMAZING! Being a new mom I remember coming home from the hospital with this tiny baby and I was so nervous and scared. Erin arrived that night with a warm smile and made me feel so much at ease. She soothed the baby while we got some much needed sleep. She helped me with breast feeding positions, bathing our new born, patiently dealt with our never ending questions and so very sweetly assured us when we were overcome with self doubt. She made our transition into this new parents role so much more easier and relaxing! ❤️ Our son Ishan adores her! I highly recommend Erin to anyone who is looking for doula support!”
